Dr Simmons is originally from Wigan, she studied at the University of Manchester and trained as a GP in Bolton. She has experience in a variety of medical specialities, but particularly she has an interest in Women's health. She has previously worked in Bolton Hospice for 6 months which has given her an excellent background in caring for patients with palliative care needs. Outside of work, she is a busy married mother of one, and enjoys cooking and the theatre
